Daniele Gamba is Managing Director of TAG GmbH, the main Austrian gas transmission system operator. With nearly three decades of international experience in the energy sector, he has held senior executive positions within the Snam Group, one of Europe's leading energy infrastructure companies, spanning network operations and maintenance, commercial and regulatory affairs, infrastructure planning & development and supply chain management. Since relocating to Vienna in 2018, he has been at the forefront of Europe's rapidly evolving energy landscape, leading TAG through the unprecedented challenges triggered by the disruption of Russian gas supplies and supporting strategic initiatives to strengthen Europe's energy security and accelerate the transition to low-carbon energy, including the South H2 Corridor, recognized by the European Commission as a Project of Common Interest. In 2024, he was appointed Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy by the President of the Italian Republic, in recognition of his contribution to strengthening energy cooperation between Italy and Austria during one of the most critical periods for Europe's energy security.
